Band 5+: You realized that phone use in high school are influencing the academic performance. Write a letter to your principal to talk about your concerns.

Dear principal,

My name is Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc. I am a students studying in school. I am writing this letter to express my anxiousness about smartphone use during school hours. It is an issue that immediately has to be found out solutions for.

Firstly, I want to tell you about frequency of using smartphone at school. Students are free with their smartphone without teacher’s permission. For instance, in my class, there are a number of student using electronic devices to cheat in exam lessons or play game during lesson. That leads to the distraction from lecture.

I think that the current policy on smartphone use brings a lot of disadvantage to students and our school. Students who are addicted to electronic devices significantly spend time using phone with negative purpose. As a result, their school performance will be decrease that affects school attainment.

In order that deal with this issue, I suggest some strategies that may be effective with recent condition. You should create a law about electronic devices use at school more strictly than the last. Next, you may remind the teachers in school are more serious in managing student using smartphone. They create punishment suitable to the students who intentionally break the laws
