The given table illustrates local catches and imports of fresh fish into Perth, Australia from the year 2004 to 2014. The table shows us change over the ten-year period in metric tons.
Throughout all years we can see a trend where there is significantly more fish caught than imported, additionally we can see a noticible fluctuating trend in both catches and imports throughout the ten years. There is a constant growth in local catches as far as the year 2009 where it experienced a gradual decline up until the year 2012 followed by another gradual upwards trend.
Compering this to the imports, it was fluctuating up untill 2007 where it experiened a significant increase from 309.9 to 830.5. We can see this trend repeat in the year 2009 where the imports reached 1203.7.
The local catches reached around 8135.2 metric tons in the year 2008, where as imports peaked in the year 2012 reaching 1227.3 metric tons. While the total reached its maximum of 8949 metric tons in 2009.
In conclusion, all three of the columns experienced a fluctuating trend through out the ten-year period and an increase in both local catches and imports.
