The provided bar chart illustrates in percentage the level of participation in various leisure activities by gender among girls and boys in Australia between the ages of 5-14..

At first glance, it can be noticed that the boys have higher or the same percentage in the activities presented in the graph above, with the exclusion being art and craft. The biggest discrepancy in participation of boys in proportion to girls can be observed in electronic / computer games, (80% for boys compared to about 60% for girls). Nonetheless, girls take part in art and craft almost twice as much as the boys (60% against roughly 35%).

According to the bar chart, watching TV / videos is the most popular activity in this age group with 100 % involvement for both genders. On the other hand, it seems that skateboarding / roller-blading doesn’t spike interest in 5-14 y.o. boys and girls in Australia compared to other activities shown in the graph. This category only has about 40% participation for boys and hardly 30% for girls, which proves this activity to be the least popular.

Having analyzed all presented information in the bar chart, it is clear that boys are more interested in all of these categories except art and drawing. Art and craft is the only activity which girls are more engaged in than boys.
