The provided diagram compares the proportion of exports from Australia to Japan, the US, China and India for 22 years period between 1990 and 2012.

As is presented, the figure of the exports to China rised rapidly, while the percentage of the US’s and India’s imports from Australia wasn’t exposed to enormous progress or regress. Meanwhile, the exports to Japan had a downward tendency throughout the given period.

The Australian exports to Japan were at their peak at the beginning of 1990s presenting 26%, but over the period it’s numbers reduced to 17% showing the lowest point in 2012. In contrast, the figure of exports to China presented a significant increase especially rising twice between 2005 and 2010 to 11% and 25% respectively, reaching the peak at nearly 30% by the end of the period.

The US imports from Australia changed sporadically with the highest percentage at 11% in 1990 and 2000 illustrating a descending trend in the next years. In addition, Australian exports to India climbed by 2010, followed by a slight decline for 2% by 2012.
