Dear Mr Murphy,
I am writing to express my concern about the current state of our local park and to suggest several improvements that could make it more enjoyable and beneficial for our community.
The park is located in the centre of the city and is a popular place for families, children, and elderly residents. It has a small playground, a few benches, and a walking path that circles a pond. Although it used to be a lively and pleasant area, its condition has noticeably declined in recent months.
At present, some of the benches are broken, and the playground equipment is old and unsafe. The walking path becomes muddy after rain, which makes it difficult to use. Moreover, there are not enough rubbish bins, and litter is often left around the park. These issues make the area less attractive and discourage many residents from spending time there.
I would like to suggest a few improvements. Firstly, the damaged benches and playground equipment should be repaired or replaced. Secondly, the walking paths could be resurfaced with better materials and proper drainage. Planting more trees and flowers would also make the park more inviting. Finally, adding more rubbish bins and improving lighting would greatly increase safety and cleanliness, especially in the evenings.
I hope the city government will consider these suggestions and take action to restore the park to its former beauty.
Yours faithfully,
Benjamin Franklin
