Band 5+: Your company has recently introduced a new uniform for the staff. But you have learned that the staff members are not happy about it. Write a letter to your manager about it. In your letter, • explain why you think the staffs are not happy with the new uniform • what you want the new uniform to be like • and give some suggestions to handle the situation

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to explain to you why employees of our firm are not satisfied with the new uniform. The colour provided for the uniform is light in colour and the material requires a dry cleaning procedure and it will cost more for the employee.

I request that the new uniform should be in a dark colour such as blue or black. Apart from that, it should have a sustainable and regular wash material so employees are not going to spend more money on washing; moreover, it should have name on uniform that indicate the employee’s name.

I suggest you to change the uniform provider because since I joined I saw innumerable complaints regarding uniform. I used to work with a Canadian organization and they dealt with The Canadian Linen uniform provider. So, I suggest you look forward to it and the majority of employees are used to with the mentioned company.
