Dear Amrutha,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to apologise for my absence at your birthday party on December 20.

Thank you for your invitation, and advanced happy birthday to my best friend. I sincerely apologise for my absence because I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon in Delhi that day regarding my mother’s treatment, and that is the reason that I could not attend at your special day.

In addition, I would be busy for some more days.I have to meet a friend to conveying my gratitude for booking an appointment for me. So, I am planning to arrange a dinner with him.Hence, I could not reach at you soon.

I hope that, we can catch up on the Christmas Eve at my home. We can celebrate your’s and Jesus Christ birthday. I am happy to create some beautiful memories with you forever.
