Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to express my dissatisfaction with the decision to close the sports and leisure centre.

I am Harmanpreet Kaur, a resident of Alpha City. Recently I received an email and learned about the decision of the council to close the leisure centre. I was very disheartened to this. My friend and I both use the gym on daily basis.My siblings attend weekly football club which they enjoy.

The leisure centre is an integral part of the local community. It is a panacea for the denizens of the society. Children play in the sports centre after days hard work.It helps them to feel energetic and fresh.Moreover,the old people are confined to their houses during the day. They go to the sport centre in the evening to socialize with their age mates. The sports and leisure centre is a social hub for our locality.

There are closingthesports and leisure centre will prove to the catastrophic for the society. Local residents will lose a treasured facility, as there are no other sports centres nearby. The closure would have a detrimental effect on health and quality of the life .

I hope you will take these concerns into consideration before making a decision.
