Artificial intelligence is increasingly taking place of the classical teaching methods in school. I disagree with this point, because children need an interactive form of learning and AI will not be able to give them that in the next few years. Another teaching method can be an online one, which promotes pupils stay at home and studying remotely.
While technology grows rapidly and artificial intelligence is a high, communication subject, crosses our minds that will replace every part of our lives, such as teaching. It seems logical to think this way, but when it is about learning in an early age is abnormal. Children cannot take information easily from a machine, because they have to interact with someone, who understands their weaknesses, face-to-face. Many pupils struggle with studying and need more attention than others and only a teacher is able to recognize it in the most cases. For instance, if a child finds it difficult to understand a subject and has no one to introduce it better to him, it would discourage him from studying.
After passing a few years studying from home due to lockdowns, another type of teaching can be a remote one with children watching the subject from their computers at home. We experienced this and seemed to be a good alternative, because many students would have the chance to participate in the schedule of their schools even if they are sick or in another place far from the school environment. Many teachers, also, cannot travel from place to place only for their career, so in this case they can work from their hometown or wherever they want. This will help children families and teachers economical.
In conclusion, machine learning and artificial intelligence come to our lives to introduce us to new options, but in my point of view, in the close future, it will not be a part of the teaching ones, because children have the need of a face-to-face interaction with teachers. However, a remote type of learning will be another option in the next few years, while we have benefited from this in the past.
