Band 6+: As the internet becomes more popular, newspapers are becoming a thing of the past.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The Internet is becoming more widly used, as a result newspapers are considered to be an oldfashioned method of obtaining information. I strongly agree that newspapers are getting more and more unpopular and might disappear in the future.

To begin with, buying newspapers to access domestic and international news is very inconvenient to most people. In today’s world every news company has its own accessible website, and with a click of button anyone with a mobile phone and stable internet connection can access the website to read articles and news. It is more easy to use the internet then to go to the shop to buy a newspaper. Therefore, newspaper’s are getting less and less popular. However, old-fashioned people who prefer newspapers still exist in society and they will still be buying them every single day.

On the other hand, the older generation of people will disappear as technology advance. The old generation, people who were born in the 19th century, find it hard to adapt with technology and they would rather use the old-fashioned way of doing things, such as reading a newspaper as opposed to using a tablet. Therefore, the majority of newspapers sales are coming from older people and as time passes sales will decrease with the older generation of people disappearing. However, a small percentage of sales is comming from youngsters and as long as those who love reading newspapers continue to exist, newapapers will never go extinct.

In conclusion, While newspapers are getting less and less popular, a demand for them will always exist.

As the internet becomes more popular, newspapers are becoming a thing of the past.

It has become increasingly common for people to access the news electronically rather than with traditional print media with many commentators suggesting that this could spell the end for newspapers. I would agree with this and think that in the future newspapers will disappear. First of all, news accessed online has much more interactivity than […]

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic: In many countries, primary and secondary schools close for two months or more in the summer holidays. What is the value of long school holidays? What are the arguments in favour of shorter school holidays?

Nowadays, in several countries, school gives summer vacation of at least two or three months for the students. This tradition is more beneficial for children and families. However, there are also strong reasons why shorter school holidays are much better for students. One of the main reasons for this is that longer summer vacation can […]

Some people think it would be a good idea for schools to teach every young person how to be a good parent. Do you agree or disagree?

Many people consider that teaching students the ways of being a good parent is a good idea. I totally disagree that such kind of lessons should be added to school-programmes. Some people believe that economic growth is more important than environmental protection, while others argue that the environment should be prioritized over economic growth. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Amid growing economic and environmental pressures, governments face increasing demands to adopt sustainable policies. From this perspective, some people assert that economic growth is the more important goal for a nation because it improves citizens’ living standards by creating jobs, reducing poverty and generating government revenue. In contrast, others contend that environmental protection is more […]
