These days, there is a growing concern over the rising rates of additional language education. This alarming trend stems from various factors, such as secondary language or literacy in other languages. In this essay, I agree that education institutes should not be compelled to teach children about learning their other languages.
According to some research, young people are rapidly acquiring their language and other languages rather than adults, indeed. In my case, I began learning English at 10 years old, but very slowly increasing English skills. Since then, I have been acquiring English (or other nations’ languages) complex, such things as my self-respect, self-esteem, and dignity have declined. Even so, my alma mater at Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary (PUTS), biblical theology lectures, tutors, and professors’ compulsory teaching such as Hebrew and Aramaic, koine (is meaning common, universal, general) Greek, which is unfamiliar to modern people.
On the other hand, some people become bilingual or trilingual when they learn mother tongue with additional nations’ languages from early schoolers. In fact, they are acquiring foreign languages with their other culture, traditions, etiquette, and even critical thinking. Therefore, it is clear that their thinking ability is not only more widespread but also good-performance brain.
In conclusion, I emphasise that educational organizations should not be mandatory or impe-rative in teaching education or tutorial their other language(s) because this is confused many children’s identities which are human beings as mother nation and tongue.
