In today’s contemporary world, it is often argued that despite the benefits of the Internet, it causes many problems. I partially agree with this opinion and think that using the Internet has both advantages and disadvantages in life.
On the one hand, the Internet can facilitate people’s work and responsibilities. In other words, people can easily access everything they need with the assistance of the Internet. It leads to saving valuable time and spending it on other important activities such as reading a book and taking care of themselves. There are numerous helpful websites and applications which can help people to deal with daunting tasks and assignments. For example, if the teacher gives a presentation with a deadline, the student can prepare it with the help of artificial intelligence such as ChatGPT without any effort. In this way, he or she does not feel under pressure and does not suffer from stress.
On the other hand, using the Internet can lead to many problems. One of the main problems is that excessive use of the Internet, particularly social media and online games, can lead to addiction and dependency. Addicted people spend their entire day in front of the computer or telephone, playing games and scrolling on social media platforms. This can result in the neglect of important responsibilities, mental and physical health problems. For example, if a student spends the whole day on the Internet, he or she cannot have time to complete assignments and also can suffer from eyesight problems.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that using the Internet has a lot of benefits, including simplifying tasks, and numerous drawbacks, such as addiction and dependency.
