Band 5+: By punishing murderer with the death penalty, society it also guilty of committing murder. Therefore, life in prison it a better punishment for murderers. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Many countries no longer sentence dealth penalty to murderers and several other alternatives are used to punish these criminals. An eye for an eye is an old concept and it should no longer be existed. Societies have the choice not to commit the same sins as the killers and thus punishment for killing others should be life in prison as a better choice. From my point of view, it is totally agreeable because taking freedom away from someone who is guilty of such crime is more meaningful than ending its life which will immediately give freedom.

Firstly, governments should not allow legal killing of prisioners at all as it is a crime against the international laws. As per the universal human rights, it grants one to live and to have the freedom. Ending one life, is a crime against humanity. However, it does not mean that those who committed the unlawful murdering, should be free from the punishment. This global decleration is only to stop policy makers, lawers, and judges to not repeat the same mistake. Still, there is the option to withdraw the right to freedom by the state. Hence, instead of continuing the head counts, it can be terminated by using the solution of keeping them in prision.

Secondly, having the time, the place, and the capacity to do anything is the dream of everyone. Taking away this ability is the best form of punishment. A six-feet cell is the nightmare for the majority of people and it is a hell for those sinners of crime. Killers will never have the chance to see a beautiful woman, a sightful river, and a nature scene. Moreover, they do not have the time to enjoy music and songs. Lastly, they will be in fear of dying as it is a constant threat.

To conclude, a jail for life is a greater punishment for the murders than to let them die for freedom.
