While individuals can indeed contribute to environmental preservation, I strongly support the notion that politicians have the potential to make a substantial difference due to their authority in enacting and enforcing policies and their ability to allocate resources, which can greatly influence environmental protection.
Individuals, although playing a role in environmental conservation at a smaller scale, can adopt more environmentally-friendly approaches in their daily choices and actions, such as reducing waste, conserving energy, and supporting sustainable practices. These individual efforts can alleviate some pressures on the government. However, the scale of environmental challenges often necessitates systemic changes that extend beyond individual efforts, highlighting the crucial role of politicians and government bodies.
Primarily, governments, through their elected politicians, can establish laws to regulate harmful environmental practices carried out by individuals.
