It has been a controversial issue debating on the fact that whether or not everybody should donate a fixed amount of money of their income to support charity. However after a though consideration, it is acknowledged that are many tangible disadvantage for forcing people to do charity by giving away fixed amount of money.
It is true that currently our society is in the era of economic downturns after the enormous epidemic Covid-19. many people are struggle living their daily life since food, money, or even medicine shortage, especially many the underprivileged people that are calling out for help. Still, doing charity must be voluntary and should be taken into a serious consideration.
The first reason why we shouldn’t force people to do charity roots from the fact that is to curing the poverty problem is a responsibility of the government. In a year they collected major amount of taxed pay by the populaces. Therefore, it is their duty to prepare food support, free education, system, and free healthcare with high quality medicine that are effective with the use the taxes transparently to support the underprivileged people and move forward the society forward the poverty.
Another equally factor is “Charity” must be voluntary activity. Based on the fact that not every people want to share the money they gain with the hard work and effort they put in, it is their right to decidehow they spend this money. The government doesn’t have the power to force their people to do charity, since they already pay taxes as a duty of country’s population.
In conclusion, though making everyone paid for charity might gain some benefits, the highest advantage and fairness would be provided if it’s voluntary activity.
