In our modernized world, people become using pen, pencil, brush less than it used to be. The most significant cause is introduction of new technology. Although it has negative side like the low of academic performance, I personally believe that it really improved our live.
Most of the people prefer to write by modern technologies rather than by hand. The World does not stay the same, and people try to adapt to newly creates such as smartphones, laptop, computers. These do their work easier because people spend a lot of their time when they write by hand. So, individuals always chose comfort as no one can do their life challenging. For example, people who work for big companies should write a lot of documents and read them, check all of the aspects, which is so difficult. However, it is easier with laptops because they can rely on AI to check, and writing by using laptop is more convenience and faster.
It has a negative impact on academic performance of children. As all people will write only by using digital devices, their grammatical range will decrease because in all devices there are autocorrects and AI which always correct mistakes. It is beneficial for adults because they have a knowledge, but for children it can be harmful. For instance, at schools’ teachers teach children to grammar, but children do not practice it because they do assignments by laptop which correct each mistake automatically. As a result, in test they will get worse results or even they passed the exam by lucky, in future life it may be complex for them to find work work high income.
I personally believe that it has more beneficial sides such as improving the quality of life. When people write by using pen, pencil or blush, they should write it on a paper. These stationeries are obtained from nature, this is, by cutting down trees. Trees can help us to breath with fresh air by cleaning the air. If all trees will cut down to getting these stationeries, our life become worse. However, there are new technologies, which can help us to prevent this risk because people become to rely on digital devices and stationaries are not requiring in large parties.
In conclusion, the decline in handwriting is mainly caused by rapid technological development, which has changed the way people work and communicate. Although relying on digital devices can negatively affect children’s academic skills, especially grammar and spelling, it also brings significant advantages such as saving time, increasing convenience, and improving overall quality of life.
