Band 5: Foreign visitors should pay more than local visitors for cultural and historical attractions. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

Nowadays, tourism has been very popular around the world, and attract plenty of foreign visitors to come.Therefore, it is true that foreign tourists need to spend more money than the locals in visiting historical and cultural attractions in order to ensure local residents’ right and government’s financial income.revenue

To begin with, too many tourists’ arrival may lead to the croud of cultural and historical attractions. As a consequence, local visitors have less chance to come and see the beautiful scenery and reduce the great experience of visiting this place. It is a loss that the visitors’ reduction to the attractions. At the same time, attractions are popular places to go to on weekends with family or friends. Admissions are one of the funds which keeps the attractions running and also to maintain its opening. In addtion, attractions need to set translations on the card whcih introduce that item or architechture, that may cost a lot.

However, if we do not charge foreign visitors for cultural and historical attractions, the amount of tourists may increase to some extent. It is very beneficial for tourism spots to appeal tourists to upgrade their popularity. Then, there may be more tourists being attracted to see the spot. As a result, tourism will be pushed to a higher rate, and it surely promote the economic growth of our country.

All of this being said, I believe that tourists visit those cultural and historical attractions,, not only enjoy the wonderful views, but also can explore the culture inside and increase governmental income.
