The lack of fresh water in the future is becoming a controversial problem for the whole world. I believe there are too many reasons and the number of measures that should be taken by the country and the people to solve this problem.
The major cause is probably rapid climate change. Nobody can predict the right time of droughts or even rainfalls, so if such situations occur abruptly, nobody can undertake these actions. As a result, weather disasters like rain or snow pollute the water at a significant level. For example, as we can see this in many European countries where it is raining non-stop. The second main reason is poor control of water. In many countries, such as Uzbekistan, where water is temporarily not a problem, people use water without any responsibility. For example, individuals use potable water, which is considered a necessary and finite resource, for unnecessary events such as car washing or even in the bathroom.
To address this problem, the government and individuals should work at the same pace. Firstly, the government should regulate pollution in any case, ranging from implementing strict laws for industries to imposing fines for extra contamination. This would significantly affect contamination, because companies would use less water to avoid fines. Secondly, individuals should take responsibility for this global problem. They can help by changing daily habits; more precisely, there are a lot of people who take long showers. To solve this, they should save water for such actions and be responsible for other contamination.
In conclusion, I believe there are too many reasons ranging from rapid climate change to poor water management, so to address this, the government should regulate pollution while people change daily habits.
