Some would argue that aiding artists is necessary for governments to do, and others say it is just costing a country a lot of money. Although helping artists in their early careers is necessary, the priority should be the health of the whole nation.
On the one hand, new artists need to be provided with loans and aid to perform their artistry and provide entertainment to the public. Furthermore, they need this money for advertisement or for any tool to be successful. For example, many artists in Europe are awarded scholarships to art school, and without this opportunity, they might not even become artists. However, I believe that governments should focus on medical care in the country more than a specific group of citizens.
On the other hand, there are other people who believe that governments shouldn’t lose money just for artists. For many countries, funds are not unlimited since there are a lot of other sectors that need money, and the government needs to spend its budget on a more important issue for the whole society, which is the well-being of the whole nation. Citizens should get treatments when they need them, and governments should improve this sector more. For example, a report made in 2026 shows that countries which focus on health care have healthier people than other countries.
To conclude, artists need to be provided with opportunities from the government to be successful, but it is more important for a government to focus on health care and fund it when necessary.
