Some people believe that homework plays a crucial role in the academic learning process. I completely agree with this statement because it improves students’ understanding and allows them to practice what they have learned.
One reason why students should do homework during the learning process is that it helps them understand the topics better. When learners do more exercises outside the classroom they are faced with the rules that teachers have explained in class and it is necessary to go over those explanations again. For example, students who study maths need to review formulas in order to solve the problem while doing homework. Revision helps them to understand the material completely by completing many exercises and allows them remember information for longer period. Therefore, they are less likely to make mistakes in class and become more confident.
Another important reason is that homework is one of the most useful parts of the learning experience, as it allows students to practice more what they have learned at home. For instance, when pupils study literature, they prepare for lessons, and learn different kinds of poems by heart and retell nteresting stories by repeating them multiple times. In other words, regular practice can improve their speaking ability. As a result, they improve pronunciation and speak more confidently.
In conclusion, doing homework remain an essential part of education, as it is considered to be an effective learning method because it has numerous benefits for students to acquire knowledge. It helps them to gain a better understanding of the subject and reinforce their knowledge.
