It is claimed by some proponents that in the age of modern communication and social media, offline interactions are becoming less renowned. In addition, it is believed that this is lowering individuals’ in person communication skills. I fundamentally agree with this view.
One of the most obvious negative aspects of online communication system is that humans tend to keep themselves aloof from getting engaged in physical conversations with each other. To epitome, it is widely observed nowadays that most of the people consider hanging out with peers as a mere wastage of time. As a consequence, the social bonding among the individuals is decreasing. Additionally, people are getting addicted to social media. For instance, they are using various chatting applications in excess amount. Ultimately, this leads them to losing their concentrations on work, study, and various other productive activities.
Having said that, there are some advantages too. One of the most common advantages is that the distance between two persons living in far and distant places has been reduced to a great extent. In other words, the entire world has been turned into a global village. As a result, one can communicate with the other, who is very far away from him or her. Although, this does not take us away from the fact that the number of shortcomings it has is far more superior than its benefits. It has not only altered the human nature but also caused numerous perilous effects. In fact, it is the reason for which the contributing aspects go unnoticed.
To conclude, it is evident that the negative effects are far more superior than the positive effects. Due to these coherent evidences, I am strongly inclined to support the provided opinion.
