Band 5: In the last decade, there has been an increase in the number of varieties of online courses available to adults.While welcomed as a great opportunity by many students, other students see these courses as a poor substitute for classroom teaching. What are the advantages and disadvantages of studying an online course? (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay)

There is a growing tendency in relation to available online courses. In recent years, the number of variety of online courses has been available to adults. Whereas a great deal of students welcomed these online courses as a great chance, however other students see these courses as a poor substitute for classroom teaching. I guess that there are both advantage and disadvantage of an online course.

On the one hand, firstly, the benefit of an online course is saving money. You stay at home and don’t pay for any transportation. This amount of money is used in different ways. For example, you could buy a thing that you need. Secondly, It is a versatility that online courses do not attach individuals to places of living. There is an opportunity to travel to regions. For example, you travel to the countryside, there is no need to miss the lessons, and you can join.

On the other hand, firstly, the negative side of the an online course is that teacher does not know which students learn the lesson, or which students do tasks. In online course, some students do copy paste the tasks from other students or any online sources. The second negative side of an online course is internet issues. Sometimes, the internet outage happens, when you are on online course. You spend your time reconnection to lesson, and you should miss some minutes of lessons.

To sum up, in recent years the number of variety of online courses has been available to adults. While advantage of an online course is saving money and do not attach individuals to places of living, disadvantage of an online course is internet issues.
