In today’s world, schools have become less necessary since the vast amount of information available online allows children to learn effectively from home. Personally, I partly agree with this suggestion for several reasons, which will be explained in this essay.

On the one hand, there are reasons why schools may seem less important in today’s society. First, the Internet allows people to access numerous online learning platforms, helping them gain deeper insights into various subjects and expand their knowledge. For example, students can self-study topics on platforms like YouTube or educational websites. Additionally, self-directed learning enables students to take greater ownership of their education, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This process not only promotes independence but also helps students develop essential skills for working autonomously, which are crucial for future success.

On the other hand, I would argue that schools still play a vital role, not only as places for imparting academic knowledge but also as environments where children can develop interpersonal abilities. Schools provide opportunities for young students to improve their communication skills through daily interactions with peers and teachers. For instance, during group projects or class discussions, students can express their thoughts, listen to others, and engage in meaningful conversations. Therefore, these experiences lay a foundation for children to develop soft skills that will support them in future personal and professional relationships.

In conclusion, while the Internet is an invaluable resource for accessing information, in-person learning at schools still offers significant benefits that online education cannot fully provide.
