In today’s world, new technology is having an impact on many areas of life,including education.The lecture is no longer the primary method of teaching students in some schools due to the revolutionization of traditional education methods by new technology. Even though this new approach has some advantages, it also has many significant drawbacks. The purpose of this essay is to provide a description of the advantages and disadvantages of this innovative approach.
From the perspective of using the latest technology in education, the biggest advantage is that it offers flexibility. This is obviously seen that it is now no longer essential for students to be offline in the classroom for their courses. The COVID pandemic has specifically shown us how this flexibility could be so important. Moreover, the distance online learning facility enables individuals, housewives and people from different countries to successfully finish courses with more accessible, personalized learning.Despite the physical distance, collaborative tools and virtual classrooms (Zoom) promote interaction between students and teachers.
However,there are also some drawbacks to using technology in education.The latest technology may not be affordable for all schools, making it a potential disadvantage.For instance,during the pandemic, laptops and a good internet connection were unaffordable for over half of students in poor or developing countries,including Kazakhstan.Consequently, some students may have difficulty to the online learning environment and may need more support.
In conclusion, the widespread use of technology in teaching and learning has both positive and negative aspects.The digital education needs equitable access to technology and online resources should be guaranteed for all students, regardless of their economic background or geographic location.
