On the one hand, it is undeniable that the media brings human plentiful advantages in lives. First of all, it supplies up-to-date information and news about almost every aspect to the public via the internet, television, radio and so on. Users, thus, not only can be aware of any incidents happening around the world but also will be able to apply invaluable sources to their studying and working. Secondly, the media is actually a good means of communication in this age of modernity, creating the liaison and connection among people despite far distance. For instance, we have gained more opportunities to befriend international friends and easily contacted with others to ask about, share and talk,… thanks to its appearance.
Conversely, there are bad sides always existing when people live in a media rich society. In the first place, sometimes, fake news and inadequate information on social platforms are reported and spread extensively. When we do not acknowledge such issue, consequently, this can negatively influence a certain individual, a group or a community. Furthermore, people’s health might also be affected drastically by the media, especially the young. It is observed that they spend most time in front of the screens, which means they are not getting involved in enough physical activities or even are addicted to the media with countless online games. Hence, these lead to people’s low quality of life and several unexpected diseases.
To summarize, avoiding the impacts of attending a multimedia society on human daily lives is extremely difficult these days along with its merits and demerits mentioned above.
