Some countries have similar shops and products. Some individuals think that it is a positive development, while others do not agree with this statement. From my point of view, the drawbacks outweigh the benefits of this.
Advocates of those who believe that it is a positive development think that having same shops has benefits such as fostering the economic growth by working with investors from international countries. Also, people can trust quality of products without any doubts. In addition, if there are a lot of same shops between them, will occur competition, thereby they can give the product lower price than other shops.
On the other hand, focusing on negative developments, small shops will be overshadowed nearby big and glamour shops. They can display smaller shops. As a result, the business of these shops will decline because people will stop noticing them. Moreover, it can be quite challenging for people to find a shop with various items because all shops have similarity with others.
Another disadvantage of having similar shops in many countries is the loss of cultural identity. Local shops often reflect national traditions and lifestyles, while international stores usually sell the same products everywhere. As a result, cities may start to look identical, and tourists may find it less interesting to visit different places. This situation can reduce cultural diversity and make people feel less connected to their local traditions.
In conclusion, despite several benefits of positive developments like economic growth and lower prices due to competition, there are more drawbacks such as overshadowing minor shops with economic fall and difficulties with finding different things.
