There is an ongoing debate over whether governments should only focus on achieving economic growth for the country and ignoring progress in other fields, has become increasingly prevalent. Although, a number of governments put their efforts to reach a prosperous economy, however, some people believe that there are other essential fields in which political authority should invest. Personally, I believe that it is important to strike a balance between the two, as fruitful resilient economy shall only remain, if accomplishments in other fields were realized.
On one side of the coin, economic status of the country plays an important role in elevating the standard of living. For example, a wealthy economy shall help in decreasing the percentage of poverty and improving the financial income of the people. Moreover, economic development shall help in providing job opportunities for many, as it would revive the production wheel and contribute in attracting more investments to the country.
On the other flip side of the coin, Education and healthcare are considered essential aspects in which governments should make its best to achieve progress into. For example, a well educated and healthy citizens shall contribute in the growth in the fields of agriculture, technology, industry… etc. Therefore, a country without good education and health system could never have a strong sustainable economy which could overcome any obstacles.
In conclusion, In order to maintain the economic progress, governments must consider the importance of the success in other areas, as the strength of country’s economy depends on its resilient in front of worldwide economic crisis and definitely development in other factors is the only weapon to overcome such crisis.
