Majority of teenagers and children are committed and passionated in playing sports. However, as time goes by, they quit when they entered adulthood. Two main reasons and its solutions of the phenomenon will be discussed.

Firstly, adult are overwhelmed with obligations in daily lives. Hence, the importances of participating in sports are often neglected. Compared to teenagers who are only responsible for studying, having good academic results, the lives of adults are constantly jam-packed with various and complicated duties. Imagine working a full-time job with two young infants at home, juggling with tasks after tasks at work, Preparing meals, taking care of kids and running even more errands before heading to bed turn into a daily routine. Undoubtedly, your physic and mental capacities are drained. Having extra 20 minutes of sleep seems hard, not to mention participating in sports which last put to an hour.

To pile, a player loss motivation and interestedness in sports once social bonds between players and coach are gone, especially in team sports. When we are young, friendships and trust are easily cultivated during practices and games. However, once the player entered in adulthood, they may need to leave the sport such as attending colleagues, working overseas. Ultimately, the team spirits and morals are shifted and plummeted when the emotional connections are weaken, which create a sense of boredom and disappointment causing the player to walk away from the sports at the end.

Facing such difficulties feel like falling into an abyss. However, the solutions are simple: reprioritising and exploring new sports. There is a saying “spending time on what you think is importance.” Maintaining and improving a healthy body are essential. Instead of spending two hours at the gym everyday, taking 30 minutes jog is much more efficient and feasible with an hectic schedule. In addition, trying new sport with friends not only keep you away from being bored but also give you a chance to reconnect with friends.
