Band 6+: Many people today find they have insufficient time to spend with their families, because of pressures of work. What problems does this create for individuals and their families? What solutions can you propose?

Nowadays, a lot of individuals feel do not have enough time to spent with their families due to work burden. There seem to be three leading causes and three key solutions we could take to reduce the problem.

Regarding the main problem, of course, pressure work that may lead to several cause. Firstly, it can extreme physical exhaustion and burn out. For example, in Japan there is a culture called karoshi – died due to overwork and social pressure to work overtime. Even though there are several way that government apply to reduce it. As a result, Japan continue to experience a decline in population. Secondly, it make decreased quality of time spent with family. Such as in Singapore, workers have limit vacation time, that makes them rare to quality time with family.

Turning to possible quick fix, we can say that the most effective measure is to maintain physical and mental health, such as eating healthy food and sleeping on time. As a result, this will keep the stamina and the mind in good shape, so that to keep in touch with their family. Furthermore, as employees they must improve the balance between work and personal life. For example, create firm boundaries between work and home to reduce stress brought on by the office. Additionally, establish a priority scale focusing on important and urgent work, with the time needed to complete tasks at the office, as well as time spent with family. this has good effect on the quality of time with the family.

In conclusion, the problems caused are extreme physical exhaustion, burn out, and decreased quality of time spent with family, and the solutions should involve coordinated action by protect physical and spiritual health, work-life balance, and create preference scope.
