A myriad of students of universities reside with their families, while others live away from home since their universities are in different places. While there are some benefits of living with relatives such as free accommodation, it also comes at a cost for students who are live away their family in terms of homesickness.
On the one hand, there are benefits of inhabiting with family. One of the advantage of living with relatives is that free accommodation. To explain, students who are residing with their families do not pay to accommodation. This can be benefit for their parents which is financially. If their children rent a room from university, this also comes at a cost for them in terms of financially. With regard to advantages of living away from home, one of the obvious benefits of this is that being independent. What I mean by this is that students who are inhabiting away from home and parents can cook food, and they can work and earn money for accommodation and food items. As a result, in the future, they will achieve goals without helps of their parents.
On the other hand, living with relatives can cause some problems like not being independent. If students who are residing in their home are not being independent, they will rely on their parents in terms of their problems which are related to accommodation, job markets and others. As far as what negatives inhabiting away from home have are concerned, one of the main and prominent disadvantage could be homesickness. Indeed, living alone in a unfamiliar places can cause homesickness.
In conclusion, residing with family and living away from home can offer some positives, but its negatives should also be taken into account.
