The mental health problem has an essential turning point in today’s society. Currently, many people are struggling with this issue, often due to heavy workloads and constant stress. Subsequently, it can lead to burnout and damage to the mental health system.
As people become busier and have to achieve their goals, mental health becomes a main problem. One of the primary causes is the overwhelming pressure from demanding workloads, academic responsibilities, and personal expectations. These stressors often go unaddressed, gradually leading to chronic stress, emotional exhaustion, and ultimately, burnout. Mental health problems affect not only a person’s inner state but also their daily life, work capacity, and relationships with others. If ignored, they can lead to serious consequences, from deterioration of physical health to social isolation and even suicide attempts. According to the World Health Organization, more than one billion people worldwide are suffering from mental disorders, and this number is growing rapidly. Therefore, it is not only significant to talk about mental health but also to implement real support measures.
One way to solve this worldwide problem is the availability of professional help. The government and private organizations should invest in the development of psychological support services: both face-to-face and online. Psychologists should work in schools and universities—where people face major stressful factors.
The second way of solving is to create comfortable conditions for living, studying, and working. Reasonable spreading of workloads, support for work-life balance, opportunities for relaxation and self-realization—all this reduces the risk of burnout.
To sum up, only by accessing help will each of us be heard.
