In modern days, access to information is easy through the internet, while in recent time people can get information only from books and newspapers. Although, I believe that the merits of having information online is more than other methods.
There are numerous benefits of online information. First and foremost, individuals can access information anywhere , as almost everyone has mobile phones these days and the internet , so they can get information from every corner of the world. Secondly, it reduces the paper waste and the need for buildings to store books , such as libraries. Also saves money that is needed to print books and paper. People have unlimited access to data online as they can search any topic. Nowadays, most of the publishers provide ebooks so people can get them easily. As a result, the internet is very useful to provide information.
On the other hand, there are some disadvantages of information on the internet. Some low-wage people cannot afford the internet prices as they are increasing day by day. Also, some online information are not reliable as that are from unauthenticated sources. For example, sometimes fake news circulates on the internet as people start believe on that and share it.
To conclude, although I believe that having most of the information online has more advantage as compare to disadvantages. As it is easily available and cost-effective , but at the same time, some data is not accurate.
