In the contemporary era, there is a heated argument over the issues that at this time people utilize bicycles less as a form of transportation. The most preponderant one is raising awareness among people and providing infrastructure facilities that will promote the community to more use of eco-friendly vehicles.
To begin with, people use another form of transportation more than bicycles because they do not have to put a lot of effort to run the vehicles, as well as it mitigates the time of distance. There are myriad reasons that increase car and public transportation use. Such as, affordability of petrol and tickets of other vehicles, and numerous innovations made all platforms more stress-free for the local public. To illustrate, air, water, land, and rail, all forms of transport are easily available in any region, consequently, it assists to mitigate the individual fear in the same way, risk.
However, we can do a plethora of things to promote the use of bicycles more among the public. The government can make eco-friendly infrastructure and road networks, so this will lead to more bicycle users and run general awareness campaigns. Additionally, educate the nation on the advantages of using it; such as, decrease pollution, traffic congestion, and give fresh air. For example, I read an article that mentioned that in one village, Fulera situated in the UP, they promote education to motivate people to use bicycles, and they found most people use this form of transport. If the above steps are taken appropriately, this problem may find its solutions.
To conclude, all trends have pros and cons; it totally depends upon individuals how they navigate them. The most obvious solution is to run campaigns to aware the public of environmental loss.
