It is believed by some people that, in recent years, media is emphasizing more on the negative news and emergency situations instead of publishing the positive one, which is not only harmful for the society but also for individuals. I do believe that, only focaus on bad news rather than good news have many negative impacts on the society. In this essay, i will discuss why it is important to publish or telecast positive news.
To begin with, negative news encourage people to do illegal activities. Publishing or telecastining a lot of negative articale or news on newspapers and Television, give citizens negative impressions towards the society. People will be forced to believe that, no positive development is happening in this society which will encorage people to think doing negative activites is normal. For example, if a newspaper publishes a article on rape which includes the before and after activities of rape, people will come to know about the negative activites, and in near future many people will apply those activites or technique to do illegal activities.
Moreover, publishing positive news have great impact on our societies. These news helps people to do good activities. People will come to know about the good activities which have done by individuals as well as the government. Positive news make people feel relax also. For example, in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, if newspapers or television published the news of taking vaccination, it would have encouraged more people to take vaccine.
To sum up, for the above mentioned reasons, i believe that postive news rather than negative one should be covered by media. Focusing on the negative news more have many negative impacts on our society.
