The money spent on developing the technology for space exploration is not justified; there are sectors, such as health services, that need money to be spent on such technology.
Firstly, there are many underdeveloped countries that need help from developed ones, where technology in those countries is low in all sectors, with no internet access, no devices available, and the majority of people are not educated because of a lack of school fees. For example, some African countries don’t have electricity, roads are not paved, and they are not using modern cultivation techniques. Hence, the money spent in space should be invested in those countries to upgrade the infrastructure, modernize cultivation, and improve technologies.
Secondly, in underdeveloped and developing countries, health services are not advanced. Thus, many studies have shown that the mortality rate of women and children during birth is at a high level, which means they don’t have enough doctors to save the lives of women and children. Also, children under five years old are afflicted with malnutrition. For example, in Burundi, some hospitals in villages need financial help and specialized doctors. The service is slow because they register customers in books compared to other advanced hospitals that are using computers. Therefore, money should not be spent on space exploration but should be spent on health.
To conclude, there are many things that have to be emphasized during development instead of spending money on space exploration, such as health, technologies, and infrastructure, especially in underdeveloped countries.
