Young generation nowadays are pressed significantly by their parents, who want them to be a successful person in the future. It can be seen that this action is necessary at this moment, due to technologization which increases the minimum requirement of qualification. However, in my opinion, this is not an adequate method at all, as putting too much pressure, or in a wrong way, might bring back plenty of disadvantages for children. In this essay, I will elaborate on both points to clarify and find out the best solution that gives as many benefits as possible.
Firstly, as I mentioned, the job requirement now is rising remarkably, together with the development of technology. To clarify, if a candidate’s curriculum vitae does not contain any certificate, or lack of experiences, they would not impress the employers, which lead to less chances to have a high-salary job. Instead of allowing this problem to happen, making pressure for children is what parents have to do at this moment to make sure that they will succeed in the next various years, by urging them to study every day, avoiding them being addicted to games or social networks, get them to participate in particular competitions which can develop their knowledge and experience in many aspects that can be useful when they work in the future.
However, a number of parents are creating too much unnecessary pressure for their kids, by forcing them to learn more difficult knowledge which is not taught in school, assigning more homework, setting a minimum target for them which must be done to be able to rest. As a result, children can be overloaded, which can lead to different mental health problems if it continues for a long period, especially with those who have a weak mentality. For example, at least 30 million people under 17 years old in China are facing with psychosis and one of 125.000 children between 5 and 14 years old decided to suicide. Therefore, parents should comprehend what is suitable for their children, because emotion is one of the most important factors for children’s development.
In conclusion, we all know that it is more troublesome to compete for a quality job. In spite of that fact, I think that children should be trained by a suitable strategy with a fair amount of knowledge, which can guarantee that they still have a joyful childhood.
