“In the contemporary era, pollution is increasing day by day, creating competition among the younger generations. In addition to this, parents often push their children to excel and become successful individuals in life. However, this pressure has both positive and negative effects on children’s academics and future goals. This essay discusses both the positive and negative aspects of these forces on a child.”

“On the one hand, in this fast-paced life, children face a lot of pressure related to the academic curriculum because there are many different subjects. Additionally, children are expected to participate in various school activities, which sometimes distracts them from their goals. Parents also put pressure on them to succeed and motivate them to complete tasks assigned to them. For example, a survey conducted by BBC News in the USA found that most parents force their children to excel in academics for their future. However, this pressure affects children’s overall behavior, making them feel uncomfortable with the activities they engage in.”

On the other hand, On the positive side, parental expectations and encouragement can serve as a driving force for children to strive for excellence. Parents who set high standards for their children may instill in them a strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility. This positive reinforcement can lead to the development of valuable skills such as perseverance, time management, and goal-setting. In such cases, the pressure acts as a catalyst for personal growth and achievement.

In summary, the influence of parents pushing their children to succeed is complex and depends on different factors. Having some expectations and support can be good, but too much pressure can harm a child’s well-being. It’s crucial to find a middle ground, setting high standards while also providing a supportive atmosphere. This balance is vital to ensure that children not only do well in their studies but also grow emotionally and socially.
