Some psychological research has been carried out to prove the effects of color on human feelings. Therefore, some people believe that color schemes are crucial when it comes to decoration for places like offices and hospitals. In my opinion, I totally agree with the statement and I will elaborate on the levels of impacts of color.
To begin with workplaces, some colors help boost the productivity of workers but others do not. Take white and black for example, they are mainly used in offices of many companies like Apple because they contribute to not only employees’ concentration but also their relaxation. Another positive option for designing official areas can be green. When people see this color, they are likely to feel that they are staying in untouched environments instead of buildings in bustling cities. Therefore, they will enjoy their work more and be less prone to stress. However, light and warm colors possibly harm workers’ focus and contribute to their strain.
Regarding medical treatment, choosing colors to design walls in hospitals must be taken into careful consideration because the impacts of colors can vary based on the ages and health conditions of patients. For instance, those with mental disorders will lose their temper when they are exposed to bright colors like red or yellow, so the cold versions seem to be effective in this scenario. Nevertheless, children-aged patients love rooms designed with warm colors because they feel energetic and optimistic when seeing them.
In conclusion, I believe that colors can exert both positive and negative effects on people’s emotions, so choosing the right colors for the right places is optimal.
