The issue of offering educational courses and job training for criminals is debated among many individuals. To some extent, I agree with this idea due to it’s effect on their personality and productivity, while having a tendency to contributing in criminal activities and personal greed are remarkable points to be mentioned.
The first and most important reason for my agreement with this point of view is changing criminals attitudes. This is due to the fact that good education can help them to learn respecting moral values and following rules and brings patience and discipline for them and prepare them for doing their best in job positions. Another reason I advocate for supporting my idea is developing practical skills. To illustrate, they master in some hands-on skills, leading them more job opportunities. For example, the more they earn money, the less they tend to contribute in crime.
Although some people believe that training prisoners and providing job training is more beneficial, I feel that tendency to engaging in such activities should be considered. To make it clear, they might contribute in theft or other task that causes insecurity in the society; therefore, they do not experience any punishments and tend to continue their behavior. Lastly, personal greed is another reason that can be mentioned regarding the issue. For instance, those suffering weak willpower are likely to turn to crime again, despite being taught about negative aspects of such activities.
Overall, it appears to me that while moral values and practical skills should be provided with criminals to help them find a decent career and have a good salary to prevent from crime can be regarded as logical reasons for the current issue, having a tendency to do such behavior and personal greed are worth considering in this regard.
