Researcher’s belief that technologies will be smarter than people divides the perspectives of individuals in two directions. Whereas one part of them think about it as an advantage, the rest of them consider this change as a negative improvement. In my opinion development in terms of computer’s intelligence may cause serious problems, and however, never be better than humans themselves.
Advanced technologies could assist in the working process. Working tirelessly, they may substitute people in long-term decision-making working hours. Computers do not have feelings which means they probably cannot make unconscious decisions. For instance, individuals can make wrong decisions due to emotions they might not control while artificial intelligence can never follow their feelings just because they cannot own feelings. Consequently, decision making by artificial intelligence will be more accurate than those that have been done by humans.
On the other hand, it is going to help only employers, causing vast problems for the employees. The ones who, for instance, found company can hire fewer people and use more computers for work since employers do not have to pay salaries for computers every month. Accordingly, the problem of unemployment will deteriorate. Moreover, individuals will probably use technology for everything starting from assignments and finishing with projects that demand their own knowledge. It may lead to an addiction to computers in every situation making us lose our thinking skills.
In conclusion, the assistance of clever devices in occupations is huge. However, being a reason for several problems as joblessness and addiction it may not be a positive change for humankind.
