Education plays a big role in every individual life. While many believe that online education is recommended others feel that classroom education will stay superior. This essay discusses both sides of the argument and explain why I am convinced that classroom education will always outweigh online education.
There are two main reasons why people believe that online education is beneficial for everyone. First of all, online education is accessible and flexible. For instance, if a parent is doing an online course, they can access the learning material anytime and work around their household needs. This means that students are not limited to a set timetable they have the flexibility to study whenever they feel like it, and they do not have to make an effort to get to a classroom on time. They can study in the convenience of their own home, which takes a lot of deduction.
However, some argue that we no longer need traditional classroom education. The main benefit of face-to-face education is that not all students benefit from online education because classroom education is more structured. For example, special needs students need one-on-on support in a classroom setting. This approach enables students with different needs to learn according to their capability. In addition, the student develops socially, emotionally and if the student doesn’t grasp a concept the teacher is in the classroom to simplify the concept for the student.
In conclusion, both online education and classroom education offer valuable contributions to education. However, in my opinion classroom education will never replace online education. Although, classroom education can be more expensive than online education, some students do not benefit from online education and need a structured classroom setting to learn in.
