In the digital era, people from all corners of the Earth can talk to each other online. With that being said, influencers now have more fans across the globe and relatively more famous. However, a portion of people has an opinion that stars are not people anyone should look up to, while others believe they are good examples of role models. This essay will give arguments to both sides and state my opinion at the end.
On one hand, celebrities are successful in life in terms of wealth, fame and career. Their path to glory demonstrates how crucial discipline actually is, and, motivates young people. Moreover, their achievements prove that nobody should care about what people think about them. When influencers started their journey, individuals surrounding them told they would fail. People criticized them, but they did not care and succeeded in the end.
On the other hand, public does not really know them in real life, so we only see their good sides. In reality, they may actually be terrible individuals like P-diddy. There were millions of fans idolizing him because of his songs, but he was actually a pedophile behind the scenes. In addition, most of the stars would do anything for fame. For example: Conor Mcgregor, he is an extremely powerful and skilled fighter, but he creates scandals, arguments and attacks people just to get attention.
To sum up, reasons why it is a good idea to have influencers as role models is their road to fame and wealth. However, they could actually be unethical or even criminals in private. I believe individuals should look up to them in order to achieve greatness.
