Nowadays, people in the community strongly agree that it is necessary that learning a second language at an early age for school children; while others think that it might be a proper way of learning the foreign language at a secondary level. In my opinion, there are a couple of pros learning a second language at an early age compared to adult learners of school age.
One of the main advantages is children can learn in a short time with their greatest memory because the brain system of early age children is quite effective and ready to learn or observe new things whatever comes to their interests. For example, my senior teacher who’s got a degree in early child education can totally apply what she collected in her study to her child. She always practices with her child to be familiar with the story telling with another foreign language and it seems to improve the language abilities of her child in his 7 years of age.
Another reason is that children are not afraid of communicating with other people around the world even if they are in the region of different language speak. Moreover, it would be a great start of learning to have a strong foundation in learning the second language as they may realized which is the quite effective learning the foreign language for applying scholarship or for those who would like to learn abroad; while it finds difficult for those of the adults who started learning in their later part of their lives for studying second language.
In conclusion, I totally agree with the idea of learning a second language at an early age since it is not only effective for their language skills as they get older but also it will support their further study at an old age.
