Many people believe that students should be required to study an international language in school, while others argue that it should be voluntary. This essay will discuss and compare both views before presenting my own opinion.
A majority of people firmly believe that students should be required to study a foreign language in school because it opens up numerous opportunities for them. On the other hand, it is beneficial for their future and can greatly assist them in their lives. Even having a basic knowledge of a foreign language can help in avoiding misunderstandings or miscommunications.
Conversely, some people feel that studying international languages in school is unnecessary. They may believe that it is not effective for today’s children, as many are opting not to take language classes at school. Consequently, a significant number of students choose to learn languages at private educational centers. This trend is becoming increasingly common as many students seek language education outside of the traditional school system.
Personally, I prefer studying at an international school. In my opinion, this approach is more effective than standard schooling because modern schools often do not challenge students as rigorously as they did in the past. Since I started learning at an educational center, I feel that I have gained much more knowledge than I would have in a conventional school setting. Therefore, I strongly encourage students to consider private centers for their language education.
In conclusion, I believe that it is not so much about how you learn a language, but rather how you practice and use it. With good discipline, it is entirely possible to learn effectively on your own as well.
