As society has advanced, sustainability has become a more significant concern. Strong industrial restrictions are necessary, according to some, while others argue that economic advancement should come first. Even if I disagree with the contrary point of view, I believe that environmental preservation is essential to sustainable progress.
Some contend, on the one hand, that economic expansion is crucial. They believe this because a healthy economy raises living standards and generates jobs. To put it another way, if economic development doesn’t advance, society may experience greater unemployment and a worse standard of living. For instance, nations that prioritize business above environmental laws have experienced instant financial gains. However, there may be long-term negative consequences for ecosystems from this strategy. Environmental deterioration can also have serious financial repercussions, such as medical bills for illnesses brought on by pollution.
However, I agree with the idea that protecting the environment should come first. This is primarily because human life depends on a healthy environment. Specifically, human health and well-being depend on clean air and water. For instance, nations that have made investments in renewable energy have benefited economically and environmentally. One may also claim that innovation is a direct result of sustainable practices. In particular, businesses that use green technology frequently discover new markets and business prospects. Maintaining biodiversity is crucial for maintaining ecological equilibrium, which is another important factor. For example, preserving natural areas helps many species that are part of our ecosystem. Lastly, it is impossible to ignore the social responsibility component. For example, businesses that put sustainability first tend to have more devoted customers.
In conclusion, even if there are reasons for and against, I truly believe that environmental preservation is more crucial than concentrating only on economic expansion. Implementing sustainable methods that benefit the environment and the economy, however, can help manage the opposite position.
