The right to have opinion without any restrictions is preferred by various individuals, while the rest still favour in suppression of speech. Although, censorship prevents people from any false news, I believe that any individual should not be deprived off from raising voices because it helps to build confidence in them.
On the one hand, limiting people from talking helps to avoid myths and false statements. Censorship does not allow people to talk too much in any situation because of which only necessary information about any subject is disseminated. This allows people to conceive only the relevant news from the authentic source and keep themselves away from wrong information. For example, China has banned all people except the qualified journalists to deliver any kind of information on any topic. This has definitely helped the Chinese people to get real time news, however I feel that disallowing all other individuals from this right might have reduced the quality of news.
On the other hand, the countries that allow people to enjoy right to freedom of speech has produced a number of confident citizens. Having no limitations on talking allows a person to talk about any subject matter with full of confidence. It increases curiosity and develops a habit of questioning which plays a pivotal role in personal development. Lets take an example of the United States, which has allowed its locals to talk about any topic of their interest without putting any restrictions. As a result, we can see a lot of Americans doing really well in various industrial and academic sectors because they have made themselves competent enough through the confidence they have developed via freedom of speech. Thus, I believe that no one should be stopped from having their opinion on any subject matter.
In conclusion, censorship does help the individuals stay away from any wrong information, however I support the fact that there should not be any restrictions on right of putting opinions because it enables an individual to be fully confident.
