Some people argue that living in the countryside is better than living in the city due to various advantages. This essay will discuss both perspectives and provide my personal opinion.
Living in the countryside is often considered more enjoyable because people tend to know how to appreciate life without the added pressure found in urban areas. Many residents work as farmers, tending to their farms each day without the concept of weekends. For instance, some individuals in the city do not find joy in their jobs and experience significant stress, whereas those in the countryside genuinely enjoy their work without feeling overwhelmed by pressure or the need for weekends.
On the other hand, city living offers access to a multitude of amenities such as malls, markets, and various entertainment options. However, the city also comes with a higher level of life stress, and residents often seem rushed, especially on Mondays. For example, while many dream of working in an office, they may not realize that it entails high pressure, stress, and anxiety due to tight deadlines. In Lombok, Indonesia, many employees find themselves working overtime without additional pay.
In conclusion, I argue that both living in the countryside and living in the city have their distinct benefits. People in the countryside often seek to earn a living and establish their farms and businesses, while city dwellers frequently escape to the countryside to enjoy quality time with family and friends.
