People learn through their entire lives. Nobody can deny that learning a language is a complex process. A large number of people consider that students should be begin to master a language at a very early age in school, while others believe it should be taught later. I overwhelmingly support the idea that students should begin learning a language as soon as they start school. Below I will discuss both sides.
From the one side , students who begin to study at a very early age have more chances to succeed in the future. They faster become familiar with a strange language, improve their hearing ability to understand new words as time goes by and learn new words. Today more and more school students rely on learning language instead of playing or walking. Beginning language acquisition during school can be particularly advantageous for young students, as their developing brains are adept at rapidly assimilating new information. This result in learning a language and going to university of abroad, contingent upon their interest.
From the other side, every student should have the autonomy to make their own choices. We should take into consideration the fact that not everyone possesses an intrinsic motivation to pursue language acquisition. For instance, it is not uncommon for students to lack the desire to learn an additional language alongside their standard academic subjects. The extensive vocabulary and complex grammar can pose challenges for children in school, potentially leading to disinterest or difficulty in mastering even basic lessons in their native language.
In conclusion, while although significant challenges accompany language acquisition for young students, I firmly believe that starting to a new language at an early age provides significant benefits.
