It is widely believed that technology has made our lives easier and more convenient, but others think that it has made life more complex. In my opinion, technology has many benefits, such as faster communication and greater availability of information. However, it also presents some challenges, like addiction and reduced independent thinking.
Some individuals become addicted to the internet and cannot live without it. They often rely on technology for even simple tasks, such as solving basic math problems, and as a result, they lose the ability to assess situations or think critically. It can also be assumed that excessive use of technology may attribute to a decline in problem-solving skills. Consequently, the next generation may be less capable of making decisions and taking care of our planet.
However, technology has many advantages. It assists people in communicating with family and friends across long distances. For example, I live in Taraz, but my parents are in Almaty, and I cannot visit them frequently, so I can easily communicate with them by phone or video call. In addition, information and resources are widely available, which helps students and professionals to learn and improve their skills. Therefore, it is clear that technology has made our lives more convenient and efficient.
In conclusion, although technology can make people dependent and reduce critical thinking, its benefits – such as fast communication and easy access to information – outweigh the challenges. People should be aware of the potential negative effects and use technology responsibly to maximize its advantages.
