People have different views about emigrants and giving resources to them. While helping refugees is of course important, I agree with those who consider that host country’s not always able to provide resources for migrants.
There are two key reasons why accepting more refugees and ensuring essential items is seen as a necessity for developed countries. Firstly, providing support to refugees raises the status of the host country, positioning it as a peacekeeper. Secondly, the main task of the United Nations and member countries is to assist people in need. The acceptable example of successfully integrating migrants and giving them a good start-up capital for life is the UAE. The country consists of 90% of emigrants, attracting world businessmen and providing work to refugees. The system of the United Arab Emirates increases the number of refugees it supports while contributing to economic progress. Finally, a strong immigration system provides opportunities to increasing refugees but also ensures they receive essential support.
However, I would argue that a lot of refugees put too much strain on host country resources and the economy. The big number of emigrants and the aid provided to them can reduce opportunities for citizens. Refugees often start their new lives relying on government benefits and demand additional assistance, as has been seen in parts of Europe. For example in Germany, where local residents provide support to migrants, an increase in the number of crimes and a reduction in government benefits for citizens. All of them lead to misunderstanding and rallies and protests among residents. Lastly, citizens should be prioritized over refugees, while still ensuring necessary support is provided to those in need.
In conclusion, providing support to refugees is undoubtedly important, even for wealthy countries, but local residents should remain the main priority..
